Policy Development

University Policies are developed through two groups. The Academic Senate recommends policies to the President on curriculum, academic standards, criteria and standards for the selection, retention and tenure of faculty members and other matters that affect faculty and students. The President's Planning and Policy Council develops, reviews and recommends administrative policy to the President.

This site is intended for viewing by the CSU Channel Islands community as well as the general public. Hard copies, including superseded and withdrawn policies, of the University Policy Manual are maintained by the Academic Senate and the Office of the President. Questions about specific policies should be referred to the policy authors, defined in the "History" section at the top of each policy document. This corresponds to the cover sheet which accompanies the hard copy of each University Policy.
