Purpose
Students completing the Education Specialist: Mild/Moderate Disabilities Credential Level II Program will be able to:
- Provide advanced levels of instruction to students with disabilities
- Use research based instructional strategies
- Make instructional decisions based on formal and informal assessment data
- Effectively manage classrooms using high quality behavior management strategies
- Demonstrate leadership in their school district based on an area of specialization within the field of special education
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with families and professionals
- Effectively advocate for students with disabilities and their families
