California State University Channel Islands is committed to public safety and maintaining a safe campus through the help of the CI Police Department and the support of the community. This commitment extends the pledge to create an educational and work environment in which the safety of the faculty, staff, and students is the first priority. The CI Police Department is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year round to provide security, assistance, and support. Through the Annual Security Report & Fire Safety Report and The University Mission Statement, CI affirms their commitment to provide public safety, creates a positive learning environment for the University, and always places students at the center of the educational experience. Additionally, The Clery Act, includes policies which encourage accurate and prompt reporting of all crimes to the campus police and the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
