Purpose
The minor provides students who do not major in Mathematics with learning opportunities in elementary mathematics and related application. The minor meets the CCTC criteria for mathematics subject matter for middle school teachers.
Background
This minor meets the needs of non-mathematics majors intending to enter a middle school mathematics teaching credential program. Especially, many Liberal Studies students would like to teach upper level elementary mathematics.
