Purpose

Provides non-majors with learning opportunities in a subject area related to many activities in modem society. The minor introduces students to business and management concepts. First. the Program builds a basic understanding of economics, computer systems, law, mathematics and writing applied in business management Next, the Program uses a variety of teaching and learning techniques to convey advanced management concepts common to a variety of organizational settings.

Background

Many areas of modem life require an understanding of business and management concepts. Most people work within an organizational structure. All organizations must address financial, human resources, information systems and management issues. This Minor will assist all students in being more effective participants in their fields of work.
